That nut case should have come home a long time ago.Instead he chose not to be released.I spent"TEN'years around him in MARION.Everyone knew he was a nut.The only two reasons he continues to stay locked up is if released he will be a praised and honored for six months then become another mope in the neighborhood.OR he cant leave his boyfriend BIG BUBBA!

  8. While in Puerto Rico last week,I ran into Jose Lopez Nephew. He told me he left Chicago because one morning His uncle Jose tried to get into bed with him while he was staying at Jose's home. Then another time while taken a shower Jose tried to rape him. He called his uncle Jose a sick old PEDOPHILE.

  9. Is this the view you guys wish to convey of your people and your community? If there is dirty laundry (it exists everywhere), it is best to wash it at home)... These are hateful comments and those who make it take the throne to pontify on others; are they perfect? Then air your perfections so that the world hears the good stories

  11. Most of the comments posted here are garbage.
(My respect goes to those with a positive purpose here) - I suspect that the negative posts have been posted by people "Other Than Puerto Ricans". In case some may not be aware, many want us out. Humboldt Park has been home to Puerto Ricans', including other Latin American’s for a very long time and now we need to protect what we should claim and, never lose or have to re-claim. I passed by the park to see live "Free" music a few Sunday's ago and, the police was making sure it was not happening. This was unbelievable. There are too many good people that visit the park on Sundays to relax and enjoy culture. I myself am a musician (home owner in the area)and have participated for "Free" just to see my people enjoy a few hours of unity and listen to different tiers of experienced and new musicians, including percussionists. This has nothing to do with the police. Complaints are the problem. Sneaky complaints and communication to political people is what drives the police to what is occurring. We need to unite on a level headed stance against this. We have all the right to enjoy ourselves in a park in our neighborhood without intrusion to our peace. We don’t play amplified music after dark and we are not hurting anyone. The musicians are not making money and this is just for our enjoyment (a picnic). If anyone is trying to make money, they are doing it at their own risk, but musicians and good, honest people should be not to blame. Well, I want to really suggest that every Latino available attends their monthly CAPS meetings. There you may hear voices against what we enjoy and more. Please join your neighborhood CAPS meetings and stay informed. Please keep in mind that voices must be heard from our side (we who have grown here and/or raised our children in the area). Let’s not remain quiet. Share your beliefs at these meetings, PLEASE. Let’s not get ruled out of, or controlled in our own background. We live and let live but, now we must voice to sustain solid ground. We mean something here which is unique.

  12. I’m glad to see a forum dedicated to getting these corrupt politicians Alderman Roberto Maldonado; Congressman Gutierrez; FALN Terrorist Oscar Lopez Rivera and his brother Jose Lopez Rivera out of power in Humboldt Park! They are all a lot of rats and snakes!
